If you want good honest basic food this is the place, mince and dumplings are very tasty and so is the chicken curry. The only negative is that it takes serious will power to visit them without buying one of their huge portions of cheesecake which will leave you feeling like a bit of a pig once you have scoffed the lot !!!!

Cakes and pastries always look lovely and the few I have tried have been tasty. They do breakfast sandwiches and some lunchtime meal specials, curry, mince and dumplings, hot beef sarnies. Support your local, you may be pleasantly surprised. 🍰🍩🍮♥️

Their hot take away food is very good value for money The mince and dumplings are fantastic and the hot beef are even better it would take too long to talk about their selection of fresh cakes they open at 07.30 and closed by 3 because they have sold out. Even in the rain there are ques outside the door along the foot path most of the days 9/10 only because of the ques and getting wet (but with it)It's our local go to for pastries, cakes, pies and breadcakes. Always friendly and regular stream of customers more than happy to wait in queue. Portion sizes for cakes and hot food brilliant for the price. Theresa and Bobby have made this a great community go to shop, beats Greggs hands down and always able to chat with them as they are serving.
A very nice mince and dumplings with roast potatoes from the hot counter, other choices are available. From the bakery counter a tasty quiche square and a slice of cheesecake. Staff are friendly and very good their jobs.

Some awesome sandwiches and food to go. Oh yes, definitely worth the wait in the que! I've only been a few times for a lunchtime sandwich/meal, but everytime there's a long que, but as i said, the meals are worth it in my opinion. Not to badly priced either.
I was just passing and was drawn in by the window display. Brought a sandwich, pie, scones and corned beef slice. Very nice food. Very nice lady who served me. A propper little gem of a place. I will return.
I could literally eat my way through this special place 😋 Whether it be sweet or savoury, you won't be disappointed. But my favourite is the mince pies, followed by a strawberry tart 😋 😋
